Nappa leather is tanned to stay as soft as fabric. It has a yielding hand and an uneven sheen, deeper at the heel and lighter on the raised folds of the toe: the oak brown color is never uniform and deepens with wear. That's why this shoe needs no breaking in — it adapts to the shape of the foot from the very first wears. The sole combines leather and rubber: the leather gives structure and the slim line of the profile, the rubber gives grip. The heel is low and block-shaped, tone on tone with the sole. With a knee-length skirt and visible socks, the loafer becomes bolder, but it needs a color that can stand up to the oak brown: cream, camel, forest green.
