The autumn winter collection gathers the models built for the cold months: heavier leathers, closed and lined constructions, soles with a proper tread. It is the season when a shoe stops being light and starts having to protect, without giving up its shape.
On the footwear side, autumn winter turns around a few families that come back every year. The ankle boot covers the most days, and appears in three recognisable variants: the chelsea, closed by two side elastics and with no lacing; the biker, with buckles and straps across the instep; the hiker, with a sturdier profile and a taller sole. The loafer remains the choice for anyone who wants to stay formal without lacing up, and the penny loafer, the one with the horizontal band across the vamp, is its most classic version. The winter sneaker differs from the summer one in its materials: suede, nubuck, calfskin and nappa instead of light canvas. Pumps and ballet flats complete the picture, and in this season they arrive more often in suede or printed leather.
Bags follow the same logic. The structured handbag and the shopper hold up to daily office use; the crossbody bag and the pouch free your hands on days spent moving; the backpack comes into its own when a coat already takes up one shoulder. Winter leathers are darker and more textured, from smooth leather to suede to calfskin.
The season's palette is recognisable. Brown in all its gradations, from tan to mocha, chocolate and dark brown, is the colour that recurs most, alongside black, midnight blue, burgundy and deep greens. Warm neutrals such as beige, taupe and camel act as a bridge between the two extremes. Animal prints and croc, python and pony-hair finishes appear on individual models, mostly sneakers and bags.
