Black leather pumps

Tamaris women's pumps in black leather, with a V-shaped neckline and a 4.5 cm heel. The pump is a closed, laceless shoe that leaves the top of the foot exposed. Here the neckline is cut in a V on the upper, while the sides remain high: the V elongates the line of the foot's arch, and the high sides keep the shoe in place without the need for straps.

The upper is in smooth leather, with no decorative stitching or appliqués, just a single vertical seam at the heel and a small metal logo on the outer side. The toe is tapered and continues the line of the V. The 4.5 cm heel is slim and flares slightly towards the ground, a profile Tamaris calls Queenie. The wider base at the center makes for a more stable stance than a straight heel of the same thickness. The height is moderate: the heel lifts just enough to add a bit of lift, without shifting too much weight onto the forefoot. At the back, the upper reaches 6.5 cm in height and wraps well around the heel of the foot, reducing the risk of the shoe slipping off while walking.

Inside, the lining is in fabric and synthetic material in burgundy, and the insole is leather-covered. The manufacturer states a TOUCH IT cushioning, the name Tamaris gives to its cushioned insole, designed to ease pressure under the sole of the foot throughout the day. The insole is not removable. The outsole is in synthetic material, with fine ribbing across the whole sole and a non-slip textured heel cap.

The black low-heel pump goes from the office to evening without changing register. It works with ankle-length tailored trousers, suits, pencil or midi skirts, and with dark skinny jeans for a more casual combination. The smooth black doesn't compete with the rest of the outfit: it leaves room for pieces with color or pattern.
