Pimlico red, blue and cream tweed

Pimlico shoulder bag by Kurt Geiger in red, blue and cream tweed with gold threads, featuring decorative chains and an eagle-head plaque on the flap. Tweed is a coarse, irregular weave fabric, in which threads of different colours interlace to form a broken check pattern. Here, red, electric blue and cream alternate in blocks, crossed by a gold lamé thread that gives small metallic highlights, along with finer white and black threads. The fabric is diamond-quilted with red stitching, which gives the bag a soft, padded volume. A rectangular gold-tone metal plaque is applied to the flap, with a crystal frame. At the centre is the eagle head in antique brass, the Kurt Geiger emblem. Several chunky chain strands hang down the front of the bag, in antique brass and silver-tone metal, attached to the side rings: these are decorative and not meant for carrying the bag. The bag is carried with the navy blue embossed-material strap, 66 cm long: this is a shoulder length, which keeps the bag tucked under the arm. On the back there is a flat pocket and a metal plaque with the "Kurt Geiger London" logo. Measurements are 26 cm wide, 14 cm high and 8 cm deep.
