1460: the original Dr. Martens boot. It features instantly recognizable Docs DNA from the 8 eyelets, classic Smooth leather, grooves, heel tabs, yellow stitching and comfortable air-cushioned soles. Now available in various colors. Born on 04.01.60, the date from which it takes its name, over the course of six decades our 8-hole boot has become iconic. Durable and notoriously stiff at first, our Smooth leather can be polished to an extreme shine. Our Goodyear welted lines are heat sealed at 700°C and reinforced with our signature stitching Upper: 100% Leather Coating: 25% Leather, 75% Fabric Sole: 100% PVC MATERIAL Durable and initially stiff, our Smooth leather, depending on your taste, can be polished to a shiny effect or scratched. CARE INSTRUCTIONS Clean it with a damp cloth and let it dry, then apply Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam using the sponge applicator provided with the product. MANUFACTURING This is a Goodyear welt product. Unlike many shoes, the upper and sole are not simply glued but heat-sealed and held together by a seam.
